Amir Kurtovic is a St. Louis newspaper journalist with experience in covering business, politics, elections, crime, sports, the courts and spot news. He has written everything from in-depth analytical pieces, award winning investigative stories, light features and social media centric blog posts. At the St. Louis Business Journal, Amir covers small and large businesses alike, with an emphasis on the business of sports.

Amir has published articles and photos in numerous publications, including the Riverfront Times, the Webster-Kirkwood Times, the Journal, the St. Louis Journalism Review, the Arnold-Imperial Leader, the Jefferson County Leader and Parts & People Magazine. In 2010 he graduated from Webster University with a degree in journalism. Amir served as the news editor of the student newspaper at Webster in the 2009/2010. Following his graduation he immediately went to work for Leader Publications, a company which publishes two newspapers covering Jefferson County, Mo.
